Ridley Park is a borough located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and it is home to The Boeing Company CH-47 Chinook helicopter division. The Lenape tribe inhabited the Delaware River region, and they resided in the area for several centuries long before the arrival of the European traders and explorers. The Okehocking Tribe also established different small villages along the river, main tributaries, and Native American townsites. Different historians also believed that other villages might have existed at other locations such as Scrum Creek and Stoney Creek Ridley Park. The Native Americans started to significantly influence the area with their network of paths for communication and travel purposes. The footpaths through the forest areas became developed, and they became the first roads in the area, The area's Chester Pike is believed to have started from a footpath that the Lenni Lenape created as their main thoroughfare.

The borough was named after a place in Cheshire in England. John Morton was a signer of the American Declaration of Independence, was born in the area, and he also raised a cabin close to East Ridley Avenue. The cabin was later replaced with a brick house, and he started farming on 133 acres of land. Chester Pike was originally a footpath and was widened and realigned by William Penn, and it was known as Queens Highway. It was one of the region's first major roads from Darby to Chester, and before 1715, it reached Philadelphia. General George Washington went to the area with his troops to plank the road to Wilmington, and he went to Brandywine and confronted the British in 1777. The area is under the Jurisdiction of Ridley School District, and it consists of Ridley Township, Eddystone, and Ridley Park.

The district also has seven military schools, one high school, and one middle school, and the schools in the district have Green Raiders as their mascot. The Raiders in the area originally aligned with the Native Americans from the Lenni Lenape Nation, but now the district has stopped using most materials related to the tribe.
