Lily and Rose Tribute Spray

Though I was unable to attend the funeral, I had asked my friend to tell me some things about her Daddy who'd passed away. When I saw this floral arrangement/spray, it just came across as perfectly suited to a man who served his country (a Vietnam vet), a man who loved his university of Alabama football (the colors are Crimson & white) & I also wanted to have those colors obviously, but the flowers had specific meaning as well - the more exotic lilies I felt could represent the father's time in the military in a land that though that war was horrible in many ways that his tour in this exotic land & his heart...his intent was pure. As I understand it he enlisted, was not drafted. And roses are always a symbol of love, & in my mind I felt the red of the roses represented deep enduring love for his family & friends, his passion for the Crimson Tide, & again the Rose & this color represented Home & his tour(s) in Vietnam. Military valor & love of this country. And really in its most basic way of colors - Red represented the things & people he loved, the White symbolic of Sweet Peace & Purity & Sympathy & hope for Solace. It's a gorgeous array of beautiful flowers. I knew immediately that this should indeed be the one my husband & I sent. My only possible demerit is that it said in big bold letters "Available for same-day delivery", & while there's a 2 hour time zone difference, I ordered this arrangement believing this would be the case. Thankfully it arrived in time for the church service & for grace side service. B...
